Mell Greenall is the CEO of Before You Dig Australia (BYDA), a national not-for-profit dedicated to underground utility safety and smarter infrastructure delivery. In 2024, she was named CEO of the Year by the Australian Institute of Health and Safety, a recognition of her leadership in advancing national safety outcomes and digital transformation. Since stepping into the role, Mell has led BYDA through a major reset—driving the development of its nationally significant Digital Portal Proof of Concept, building stronger partnerships across government and industry, and advocating for policy reform that improves utility risk management.
