Trained as a Terrestrial Ecologist with a particular emphasis on invasive species and climate change. After receiving her PhD in 2019, Kruti started an industrial post-doctoral fellowship in a freshwater ecosystem ecology lab based out of Toronto Metropolitan University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The lab collaborated with the Canadian start-up E M Fluids where she was involved with the foundational, theoretical and applied, R&D of their technology for 6 years. Kruti transitioned to working at E M Fluids full-time working in her current role as an Environmental Scientist managing water and wastewater projects globally.
