Ashley Reidy has been a water/waterwater treatment plant operator for 22 years and he is currently a control room operator at the Glenmore Water Treatment Plant. Ashley has been on the WIOA QLD advisory committee for two years and in 2012 he was the operator of the year Queensland Water Directorate. Ashley's journey into the water industry has been a deeply personal one, after his father, a waste water operator himself, influenced his early path into the field. Initially hesitant to pursue a career in the field after facing bullying at school over his father's role, once his father passed in 2007 he found the strength to embrace to role himself and he has since strived to become the best operator he could be.
