Details

Discover how a modular, staged treatment approach can improve PFAS removal from complex contaminated water containing suspended solids, hydrocarbons and competing contaminants. Rather than relying on single-stage adsorption, the treatment train progressively removes solids and free or emulsified hydrocarbons before final PFAS polishing. This reduces pressure on polishing media, delays breakthrough, extends service life and lowers waste volumes. Successfully deployed across Australian industrial and infrastructure projects, the containerised system has operated from 20–25 L/min to approximately 5 L/s while meeting discharge objectives. Attendees will gain practical engineering and operational insights for reducing lifecycle costs and simplifying field treatment of PFAS.
